FLORIDA, PUERTO RICO & CARIBBEAN CHAPTER

State Chapter Meeting

Orlando, FL | October 10, 2026

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

October 10th, 2026  |  Orlando, FL

The Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean ASMBS state chapter invites the bariatric community to come together for an energizing, future‑focused educational event built around the real challenges clinicians face every day.

We’re diving into the latest in SADI‑S, weight recurrence, GLP‑1 therapy, robotics, AI, and complex surgical decision‑making — plus the tough cases involving transplant, oncologic, critically ill, Wernicke’s, and complex hernia that push teams to think differently.

Attendees will walk away with practical, evidence‑based strategies for complication management, nutrition optimization, and improving access to care.

If you’re committed to staying ahead of the curve and elevating patient outcomes, this is absolutely the event you don’t want to miss.

Attend in person or virtually!

Can’t attend in person? No problem. We will email all registered attendees a link to watch LIVE virtually or the recording after, available for CME credits.

This year’s program features a full day of presentations, panel discussions, and conversations addressing important clinical, nutritional, behavioral, technological, and advocacy issues in metabolic and bariatric care.

Program topics include SADI-S and BPD, bariatric surgery in complex clinical scenarios, bariatric interventions in the GLP-1 era, management of weight recurrence, access to care and advocacy, robotics, bariatric endoscopy, quality improvement technologies, and artificial intelligence.

The program also includes the 12th Annual Walter Pories Lecture, presented by Joe Northup, MD FACS.

Saturday, October 10, 2026

Registration, breakfast, and exhibits begin at 6:30 AM, with the educational program beginning at 7:30 AM.
